Participation, risks & safe instructionDance, acro, circus and aerial activities, equipment and spotting.
I give permission for the dancers in my family enrolment to participate in their selected Momentum Dance Studios classes and activities. I am an adult participant or a parent or legal guardian with authority to give this consent for the relevant dancer.
Dance, acrobatics, circus, aerial and tumbling activities involve physical exertion and risks. Depending on the activity, these include falls, collisions, sprains, strains, fractures and injuries associated with equipment. Serious injury or death is possible. Risks can remain even with appropriate instruction and supervision. I understand these risks when choosing participation.
Dancers must follow reasonable safety instructions, use equipment only as directed and attempt skills within the instruction and support provided. A teacher may stop or adapt an activity where reasonably necessary for safety.
Appropriate physical contact may be used to explain alignment, assist movement or provide safe spotting. Teachers will explain assistance where practical and respect the dancer’s comfort and boundaries. Dancers can speak up or ask to stop. Please share relevant sensitivities or support needs.
This is a participation consent and risk acknowledgement. It does not remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
Medical information & emergency permissionCurrent health details, first aid and emergency assistance.
To the best of my knowledge, my dancer can participate safely with any support arrangements discussed with Momentum. I have disclosed relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, disabilities and support needs, and will promptly advise Momentum of changes. A medical condition does not automatically prevent participation; discuss suitable support with Momentum Dance Studios.
Keep emergency contacts current in Account & family → Family details & sizes. If a change is urgent, also contact Momentum before class. Do not send an unwell dancer when they cannot participate safely or may put others at risk.
I authorise appropriate first aid within staff training and medical assistance, including an ambulance, where required. If urgent care is needed and I cannot be contacted promptly, staff may seek emergency assistance without waiting for my reply. Treatment decisions remain with treating health professionals. Treatment or ambulance costs may be payable by me.
Momentum may request medical clearance where reasonably necessary before a dancer returns after injury or illness.
Photography, video & family galleriesStudio recording, promotion and other dancers’ privacy.
I understand that group classes, rehearsals, performances, concerts and Photo Week may be photographed or filmed. I consent to images and recordings featuring my dancer being used for teaching, family practice resources, authorised family galleries, official concert recordings and Momentum promotion, including the studio website, social media and printed material.
A camera-free group class or performance cannot be guaranteed, and dancers will not routinely be separated from group photographs. This consent forms part of group enrolment. If my family needs different arrangements, I will speak with Momentum Dance Studios before enrolling to discuss suitable options, including private lessons.
Families and visitors must follow Momentum’s photography directions. Do not film a class without the teacher’s permission or record in changing areas. Do not publicly share images or recordings obtained through the Parent Hub that identify another dancer without permission from their parent or guardian, or from that dancer if they are an adult.
Family galleries and class resources are for authorised family use. Do not share your login or private resource links. Report an incorrectly linked image through Messages. Gallery updates depend on completed uploads; new photographs may not appear immediately.
2027 membership & inclusionsPer-dancer pricing, one family account and ten monthly payments.
All-inclusive membership is calculated per dancer from their selected group classes and combined into one family account. It covers group tuition, included class costumes, concert participation fees, stockings and included studio activities described with enrolment. Private lessons, additional shop purchases and separately disclosed optional charges are additional. Audience tickets are purchased separately where an event lists ticket sales.
Before February 2027, new class enrolments require an enrolment deposit of 50% of the displayed February family membership amount, less any deposit already paid. It is an advance toward February, not an additional fee. The remaining February balance is due on 1 February. A class place is confirmed after the required details, waivers, payment authority and successful enrolment payment are completed, subject to class availability. A bank payment still processing is not confirmed payment.
For enrolment during February to November, the full joining month is paid at enrolment, allowing for membership funds already paid. There is no daily or weekly proration. Direct debits begin on the 1st of the following month through November; earlier months are not charged.
The annual membership is divided into ten monthly payments from February to November. It is not a charge for each individual lesson attended. Scheduled term breaks and public holidays are reflected in the annual program. Check class and event pages for separately scheduled rehearsals or activities.
A one-time late payment fee of 10% applies to the unpaid monthly membership balance on the 15th of that month. Payments received and credits applied reduce the balance used to calculate the fee. No second late fee is applied on the 30th, and late fees are not included when calculating another late fee. Contact Momentum Dance Studios about payment difficulty or a disputed amount.
2027 monthly group membership per dancer: 45-minute classes — 1 class $110; 2 classes $175; 3 classes $235; 4 classes $295; 5 classes $355; 6 classes $415; 7 classes $475; 8 classes $530; 9 classes $585; 10 classes $635; 11 classes $685. 30-minute classes — 1 class $90; 2 classes $140. The 30-minute group membership applies to 4U and adult classes. Unlisted or mixed-duration combinations require a quote.
Class choices, approved adjustments and your family estimate are shown before payment authorisation. A family discount or special arrangement applies only when confirmed by Momentum and reflected in the quote. Included uniform items and stockings follow the options shown for your dancer in the Hub; additional items are purchased through Shop.
Payment authorisation, dates & retriesSecure setup, monthly debits, due balances and future charges.
Membership payments are scheduled for the 1st of each month from February to November. Saving a payment method during enrolment does not itself collect a membership payment or collect the separate enrolment deposit. The enrolment deposit is paid through a separate, explicitly accepted checkout before February; regular monthly membership collection does not start before February for the coming season. If enrolling during February to November, the full joining month is paid at enrolment, allowing for membership funds already paid. Scheduled direct debits begin on the 1st of the following month and continue through November. For example, joining on 5 March means paying March at enrolment, then direct debits from 1 April to 1 November. Earlier months are not charged.
Complete the separate secure authorisation for the family amount and schedule shown. Stripe offers cards and Australian bank direct debit. For bank debit, complete the Direct Debit Request and service agreement shown by Stripe; saving a bank preference in a payment preview is not a bank mandate. Bank payments can take several business days to clear. Never send card numbers, bank passwords or payment credentials through Messages.
Failed membership payments may be retried on the 5th, 10th and 15th of that month, where permitted by the provider. No duplicate debit should be attempted while a payment is processing or after it succeeds. Momentum will contact you if another payment method or assistance is needed. Processing and bank settlement times can vary.
Keep your payment method current and ensure sufficient funds are available. Open Account & family → Payments & membership for your method and schedule. Your account separates due balances from future charges. Where online account payment is available, choose the charge and amount; do not start another payment while the first is being checked.
Any applicable additional fee must be disclosed before it is charged. Contact Momentum about payment difficulty, an unexpected fee or a suspected error. Changing or cancelling a payment authority does not itself cancel enrolment or erase amounts already properly owing. Contact Momentum and, where appropriate, your financial institution about changing, stopping or disputing a debit.
Class changes, withdrawal & refundsWritten requests, immediate class removal and account adjustments.
For a change intended to apply from the following month, send a written request through Messages at least three business days before the end of the current month. Identify the dancer, class and requested effective date. Momentum will confirm the outcome and remaining amount. If you cannot access Messages, email office@momentumdance.com.au.
To remove an enrolled group class immediately, open My classes, select the dancer and class, then Collection & class changes → Remove this class. Read the confirmation: this removes the current class rather than scheduling an end-of-month withdrawal. To finish the current month first, send a written request instead.
If an amount is already due, online removal directs you to Account for review. You can still send Momentum a written withdrawal request so its requested date is recorded. Stopping attendance alone is not withdrawal. Amounts already properly due remain payable and are not erased by withdrawal.
Confirmed changes update future membership instalments. Future charges specifically linked to a removed class may receive an account credit. Credits are recorded adjustments, not automatic cash refunds. Past charges and payments remain in history; ask Momentum to review an incorrect or disputed amount.
Change-of-mind refunds are not ordinarily provided for membership charges already properly due or individual classes missed by the dancer. This does not exclude any refund, cancellation or other remedy required under Australian Consumer Law. If Momentum cancels or materially changes a service, contact the studio about the appropriate arrangement or remedy. Private cancellations follow the separately accepted booking terms.
Attendance, trials & timetable changesEligibility, provisional places, trial bookings and absence reporting.
Trials are free. A trial booking does not reserve an ongoing class place. Confirmed enrolments take priority. If the class fills with confirmed enrolments, Momentum will review trial availability and discuss another suitable option before the trial. Taking a trial does not guarantee a class place afterward.
2027 Hub bookings open on 15 November 2026 for returning families and 5 December 2026 for new families. A returning household has a dancer with a confirmed 2026 enrolment, including when adding a new sibling. You can prepare family details and explore the timetable before bookings open.
Choose classes through Enrolments using your dancer’s details and the age they turn in the enrolment year. Places depend on eligibility and capacity. A waitlist entry is not a confirmed place. Provisional group places normally have a 15-minute completion window; use the actual deadline shown. Expired choices can be selected again only if space remains.
Complete parent details, dancer details, class choices, studio agreements, payment authorisation and the required enrolment payment. Before February this is the 50% February deposit; during February–November it is the full joining month. Opening a deposit checkout temporarily extends an existing provisional place; a bank payment being confirmed can take several business days. Momentum reviews unresolved payments and expired choices before confirming a place. A trial booking does not itself create a paid membership. Read the trial instructions and use Enrolments to cancel, rebook or continue afterwards.
To tell the teacher about an upcoming absence, open My classes: select the dancer and class, then Report absence. This records that date for the teacher; it does not remove the class or change fees. Message Momentum if the date cannot be selected or a correction is needed. Teachers remain responsible for marking attendance.
Regular classes follow the published NSW Western Division term calendar and public holidays, with separately advised changes shown in the Hub. Teachers, rooms or times may occasionally change. Momentum will communicate changes as soon as reasonably possible. Check class information and Calendar before attending.
Class uniform & correct footwearWhat to wear and practising how you perform.
Wear the uniform and footwear specified for your style in every class. Fitted clothing helps your teacher see alignment and give accurate corrections. For safety and modesty, fitted clothing is required for inversions (going upside down). Follow the separate instructions for each event or performance.
At Momentum, we believe in practising how you perform. Each dance shoe is designed for its style, providing the grip, slide and control that movement needs. Turns, slides and lifts feel different in different shoes and require different foot movement and articulation. Wear the correct footwear and uniform for your style in every class. Socks or bare feet are not substitutes for required dance shoes. Acro and Circus require bare feet with no socks.
Shoe colour may change for a particular costume. Competition and senior dancers should expect to need both tan and black jazz shoes; follow the exact event instructions.
Open each class’s What to wear & bring information for its uniform and shoe requirements. Included membership items follow the options shown for your dancer; additional items are available through Shop.
Arrival, collection & respectful conductSafe handover, collection arrangements, clothing and behaviour.
Follow arrival and collection instructions for your class or venue. Keep authorised collection arrangements current and use the class collection note when someone else is collecting your dancer. Tell Momentum promptly about relevant court orders or restrictions; do not rely on a routine Hub message for an urgent safety issue.
Studio check-in records arrival and departure separately from teacher class attendance. Check-in alone does not confirm a booking, create permission to leave a child unsupervised or prove class attendance.
Please collect dancers promptly. The first ten minutes of late collection are uncharged. Momentum Dance Studios may apply $1 per minute after that, particularly for repeated late collection or after-hours supervision. Momentum Dance Studios reviews any fee; arrival/departure records do not automatically create a charge.
Dancers and families must treat staff and other families respectfully, follow reasonable directions and wear clothing and footwear suitable for the activity. Unsafe behaviour may require an activity to stop or a dancer to be collected. Any ongoing restriction will be discussed with the responsible adult.
Events, concerts, costumes & practiceResponses, sizes, tickets, preparation and private resources.
An invitation applies to the dancers and classes identified in it. Open Events & concerts and respond for each invited dancer by the displayed deadline. Reporting a class absence does not change an event response. Rejoining depends on the current deadline, availability and preparation requirements.
Follow the exact event or concert page for rehearsals, costume sizes, preparation and tickets. Social events such as discos do not automatically require stage preparation. Submit sizes through the requested task or family details screen and notify Momentum promptly about errors.
Follow supplied costume care and return instructions. Do not wash or alter studio costumes unless Momentum instructs you to do so. Approved music and practice resources appear with the relevant class or event; use them for your dancer’s practice and do not redistribute private recordings.
Private lessons & shared bookingsIndividual quotes, acceptance, payment and booking changes.
Private lessons are separately priced. Review the teacher, time, frequency, start date and your own price before accepting. Private-only dancers may have the disclosed 10% non-member surcharge. Shared bookings need each family to accept its own price; another family’s payment details are not shared.
Booking acceptance, dancer information and payment authorisation are separate steps. Complete outstanding requirements shown in the Hub. Accepting a private quote does not itself save a payment method.
Use Private lessons for private booking changes or cancellation, rather than the group Remove class button. Shared changes may affect other participants’ future quotes and need confirmation. Ask Momentum about a one-off booking or fee already due; previous payments are not automatically refunded.
Shop, included items & collectionSizes, payment, stock and collection status.
Check the item, size, price and availability before ordering. Included benefits are identified separately from additional purchases. An order awaiting payment or stock is not ready for collection.
Track current and previous orders in Shop & orders. Collect when the order is marked ready and follow Momentum’s instructions. Contact Momentum before using or altering an incorrect or faulty item or one needing a size review. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain protected.
Messages, access & essential updatesCurrent contacts, your own sign-in and optional marketing preferences.
I will keep my contact details current and regularly check my Parent Hub and nominated email, including junk or spam folders, for essential class, account, safety and event information. Optional promotional messages are a separate preference; accepting essential communications does not subscribe me to optional marketing.
Use Messages → Send the studio a message for questions and written requests. A notification’s action opens its related class, account or event task. Routine messages are not an emergency channel and may not receive an immediate reply.
Do not share passwords. An additional parent or carer needs their own approved email and must confirm contact permissions. Family access does not automatically create a billing share or authorise use of another person’s payment method. Ask Momentum about a different payer arrangement.
Family information & privacyInformation use, authorised access and correcting your records.
Momentum collects information needed for enrolment and studio activities: family contacts, dancer names and dates of birth, relevant health and support details, emergency contacts, attendance, sizes, event responses, communications and account records. Photos and recordings are covered by the separate photography agreement.
Information supports enrolment, teaching, safety, events, accounts and communication. Authorised staff access information needed for their work. Linked family contacts can access information permitted for their role; financial responsibility and payment credentials are handled separately.
Momentum uses providers for hosting, sign-in, storage, payments and communications where enabled. Payment credentials are entered with the secure provider, rather than in Hub messages. The Hub may retain payment references, authorisation records and transaction history. We do not sell family contact information.
Update your details through Account & family. Request access, correction or a privacy review through Messages or office@momentumdance.com.au. Some records must be retained for account, safety or legal purposes. Galleries are not a promise of permanent storage; retain your own permitted copies of photos you wish to keep.
